Wonder girls - Like this
These bow legged spoiled girls and their coloured wigs. YG entertainment needs to do suttin'. Because Wonder girls just out swagged 2NE1 with this low-quality stuff. They managed to look like hood tricks, with innocent sensibilities. And Lim was gettin' it. My mind is blown. CL needs to suck a piece for a comeback and sales in Japan like yesterday.
"Like this" is way more hood than I thought these girls would / could ever come with, but I dig this. When that bassline dropped I was snappin' fangaz and chicken noodle soupin' on invisible living room.
Props to JYP for giving the girls a video which goes against the norm of the type of video these songs usually get. I was expecting the atypical shiny floors, neon lights and fast cut videos that K-Pop has run into the absolute ground. So it was nice to see something a little real and a little raw.
Whatever money JYP doesn't have at the moment, I'm sure he's making from whatever deal he cut with Ralph Lauren. That shop sign was in more shots than the Wonder girls. And Adidas. We see you. We always f**king see you *eye roll at the 100th pair of Jeremy Scott kicks to appear in a K-Pop music video*

Music video: 2NE1 - Be mine
After so many poor Euro club records and attempts to be hood, it's nice to see 2NE1 flip things and strip everything back. Well...everything but the make-up. CL's face looks like it can barely move under those 2 inches of Shiseido and Bom's face still looks like it's permanently frozen into an expression of surprise. Dara and Minzy were the only members whose faces looked human. Although Minzy looked ill and was suited up like a 30 year old woman.
I've been going through a period of falling out with 2NE1. I loved them when they debuted and then got sick of them doing the same thing, wearing the same stuff, dropping the same watered down versions of songs they and Big Bang had already done and just trying too hard. But "Be mine" reminds me of a moment in 2NE1's careers when I liked them the most - back when they were showing everybody a completely different side to their style and talents with performances of the acoustic version of "I don't care". A version which was mis-appropriately named, seeing as it wasn't so much acoustic as it was a light reggae remix.
Big Bang's T.O.P models FUBU
A fashion range long related with hood rats and wanna-be thug fellas now has a Korean dude who dyes his hair green, wears women's jewelery and helps G-Dragon pick out his weave pieces as it's ambassador. My. How the tables have turned and the times have changed. T.O.P's swagger is so on point and the dude is so ridiculously good looking that he can do what the hell he likes.
The stigma attached to FUBU is too strong for me to ever take it seriously as a clothing brand I'd be caught wearing any time soon. Plus, it's always looked like shit. But it's cool the brand is being given a shot at re-branding itself. T.O.P isn't your typical FUBU wearer, but he's affiliated with the FUBU demographic in some capacity, so he could definitely help the transition. And the guy is so ridiculously good looking that he can wear anything and make it look good - as he did here. Still wouldn't wear this though.
